Probing Question
The AI Probing Questions feature is an innovative question type that leverages artificial intelligence to conduct in-depth follow-up conversations with respondents. After a respondent answers an open-ended question, the AI automatically generates relevant follow-up questions to gather more detailed insights and perspectives.
Feature Overview
This feature enables deeper understanding of respondent feedback through AI-powered conversations, allowing you to gather richer insights even with limited sample sizes.
AI Probing has two answer modes. Text probing is the original mode: respondents type each answer. Voice probing lets respondents speak their answers instead.
Voice Probing
1. Open the AI Probing question and choose Voice Interaction.
2. The respondent allows microphone access, then speaks the answer.
3. The spoken answer is turned into text. AI uses that text to ask the next follow-up question.
4. Round limits, the End answering button, and saved Q&A records work the same way as text probing. The saved answer is the transcribed text.
Text Probing
1. You may also switch to text mode for follow-up questions.

1. Conversation Control:

1. Conversation Recording:
- All AI questions (Q) and respondent answers (A) are saved in sequence

- Maximum conversation rounds can be set between 1 and 5
- Conversations automatically end after reaching maximum rounds
- Respondents can end conversations early using the "Complete Answer" button
- Question type can be switched between AI Probing and standard open-ended at any time
- All conversations are saved in Q&A format for easy analysis
- Voice probing converts speech to text. The conversation is still saved as written Q&A
